HIGH RISE TOWER

A 250 m Tower project  was the chance to experiment something less conventional. The verticality is interrupted by two soft and undefined geometry volumes  containing at ground floor the lobby and at upper levels the clubhouse with swimming pool.

CONSERVATORY  MUSIC SCHOOL

A music school campus designed for a competition. The translucent envelope represents the ethereal quality of harmony. The straight solid walls represent the structural quality of tempo and rythm.

HOUSING CONCEPT

A few small apartments organized as stacking volumes gently project into the  landscape through diamond tapered volumes at upper floors.

CLIFF VILLA

This BS16 Villa prototype  was built a few years ago in Guang Zhou within an architectural theme park. The tectonic movement  of the slab volumes creates a dynamic relationship with this unique site sloping section.

ICONIC LIBRARY

A giant binary structure with two massive structural feet, a criss cross overhang concept in the most exquisite brutalist fashion. A mutant field where sculpture and engineering experimentation meet.

ETHERIC HEADQUARTERS

How to design the headquarter building for a fashion brand that incarnate feminine principle ( Ellassay group ) ? I imaginated  it as two elliptic layout towers shaped like two smooth cups fading into sky.

INTROSPECTIVE VILLA

This is an important design for a China client mostly appreciated by  arabian viewers ( maybe something related to their dry and hot climate).
A glass cube house encapsulated into a cavity space defined by a morphing skin.

OPENS LIKE A BOOK

Residential Villas, Townhouse etc. has been my passion for long time. In this project  I tried to open up the volume breaking it through defined and well separated elements. Straight and expressive the elements compose an abstract face. Like enclosed within eyebrows or eyelids the house is an eye  open to natural views.

CASTLE IN THE MIST

I love the soft conjunction of opposites. Non physical, untangible structures made of mist/ steam make the cloudy base on which mysteriously decorated cubes stand proud. That is the magical atmosphere of a modern hotspring spa facility located not far from Shanghai.

WARM CUBES

Three volumes declare the individuality of three functional groups. Materials destined to last long celebrate the cladding of these warm cubes textured outside and smoothly abstract inside.

STANDING  AGAINST A VOLCANO

This apt building was designed for an amazing site located in Takapuna a beach district of Auckland in New Zealand, just in front of a majestic volcano-island. The dialogue with this majesty definitely influenced the telluric dynamism of the building.

YACHT VILLA 1

Yacht villa is a semidetached type of house that faces directly the sea through a private deck for Yacht boarding. A few ideas came up. One of them shows a linear shift that recalls the movement of seagull wings.

WELCOMING WOMB

A podium for a commercial mixed use complex suggest a liquid nature that follows the flow. This morphing organic structure collapse at  the entrance like a welcoming womb.

YACHT VILLA 2

Yacht villa is a detached type of house that faces directly the sea through a private deck for Yacht boarding. A few ideas came up. One of them shows a linear design that suddenly collapses to form a light staircase.

BRIDGING ICON

The idea of how the commercial podium merges into the body of the office tower in this case captured me.
It produces a feeling of megastructure  where the typical mixed use complex appearance vanishes in favor of a bridge like structure.

INTERIOR  case #1

A very conceptual fluid design for a villa showcase flat in which the materials and use of light features embedded in walls finish create a sense of disclosure and revelation.

INTERIOR case #2

Kids room and playrooms are the most challenging example of adding creative functions that may recreate a dream-like feeling.

 INTERIOR case #3

In a high rise tower facing the sea in northern china eastern coast, I imagine a linear layout, shaped like a telescopic lighthouse  that brings the blinding light of the ocean deep inside from one side to the other of the flat.

INTERIOR case #4

Designing a concept for Hong Kong's client always a bit challenging for the high demanding standard of space economy and efficiency. All can be spiced up with a sophisticated rich use of materials and colour palettes.

 INTERIOR case #5

High end feeling can comes out sometimes from simplicity.  Spacious layout, not overloaded with furniture and decorative elements can define a distinctive character.

 INTERIOR case #6

Interactive high technology spaces in which the main goal is to recreate a white blank 3d canvas with interesting space geometry variations. Morphing digital landscapes are projected on the blank space and walls.
